Biography
Ádám Darázs is a Hungarian guitarist, improviser, and soundpainter whose work bridges classical training and experimental performance. He has participated in numerous contemporary music and improvisational projects, positioning himself within Hungary’s interdisciplinary music scene.
His artistic practice extends beyond conventional concert settings: alongside classical and contemporary chamber music, he performs free improvisation and frequently collaborates with theatre productions, as well as contemporary and contact dance artists. Over the years, he has performed and contributed to a wide range of projects, ensembles, theatre productions, and dance companies, including Láthatáron Csoport, Juhász Kata Társulat, Kérész Művek, and Willany Leo.
In addition to his work as a guitarist, Darázs engages with field recordings and soundscape composition, integrating natural and urban sonic environments into his music. He has also contributed to multidisciplinary initiatives such as the Terep Project, which focuses on acoustic ecology and site-based composition.
