We warmly welcome you to the 8th edition of the Kontaktland Festival. We will celebrate Contact Improvisation once again, and deepen together into our practice for 6 days in the middle of nature, at Három Kincs Völgye, followed by 4 days Post-Intensive with Kirstie Simson.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gather the hungarian community and to welcome international dancers. The festival is settling year by year and we are thankful for co creating such a safe, intimate and friendly space all together.
This is not just a dream, this is reality!
We are grateful for the success and the atmosfear of 2018 and 2019’s festival.
Trustful connections and collaborations were born, which inspired us to continue our work.
In 2020 we canceled the festival and offered a self organized camp instead, we were 70 dancers.
Concept
Our 3 words concept: “community, research and nature”, reveals our call to be together being barefoot all day, having direct connection to earth, cultivating the power of togetherness, using dance as a supportive and enriching focus.
Embedding somatic into performative awareness.
Inspired by the roots of Contact Improvisation, since 2024 we have been researching the way somatic practices merge into performative awareness.
Site specific performances became a tradition of our festival.
